Hydro-current River System
The IRG Hydro-Current River System is designed to use large volume slow moving water currents, concentrate the energy into a high pressure low volume stream, and drive conventional hydroelectric generating equipment. The system as described is designed to use predominately standard equipment and materials and be cost competitive with current electricity generation. Vertical penetration of the river is not required as the systems are horizontally based and capable of being almost entirely buried below the riverbed. Only a series of projecting heads above the surface of the riverbed is necessary to achieve adequate water flow. Input/output lines are buried, and the system is not  surface mounted, therefor  does not interfere with use of river frontage. This allows for unhindered movement of barges and other river traffic. Neither the River system components, nor other surface traffic will be negatively affected.

The two driving forces in the system are developed in the discharge field and high pressure diverter. The system is scalable from sub-megawatt to multi-megawatt sizes. Because of the design and off-of-the-shelf construction, IRG’s solution is both base-load (consistent rated power) and dispatchable (can be regulated based on demand).

Energy by IRG, Inc
IRG, Inc. energy resources consist of four basic perpetual world-wide sources - solar, wind, and river and ocean currents.  In addition IRG is currently exploring other resources to expand and enhance our client's ability to provide consistant energy to both the private and public sectors, domestically and world-wide. If you have any questions regarding our products or would like more information, please contact us:

The ocean currents, while slow, run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and while they vary, there is a certain minimum speed, flow and direction that can be depended upon year round. That consistency of supply makes this consistent with a base-load plant and the IRG design is such that it can adjust or dispatch power as required. Base- load and dispatchable supplies of energy are critical because they are two major factors that allow the IRG Hydro systems to be able to compete with both coal-fired and nuclear power plants. Existing coal, nuclear, gas and hydrokinetic power plants constantly adjust power output levels up and down to meet the demand. A benefit of the Ocean System is that there is a constant and unlimited amount of water flow to convert to energy. Two added benefits of the IRG Hydro-Current systems are that both systems have no related fuel costs, and are completely carbon-free.

From a practical perspective there is no reason for IRG clients to need to reduce power levels in off peak intervals. Instead, all excess power can be diverted to an electrolysis process.

In order to offer our customers a complete range of renewable energy products, IRG is currently acquiring the exclusive marketing rights to a new solar panel design as well as a new wind turbine that utilizes a unique pinwheel design. As these technologies develop further in their effectiveness and overall efficiency, IRG will move to position these products to round out our total energy packages, for any and all customers—foreign, private industry and public concerns that desire to utilize these technologies.
